How Climate Change affects our Safety

What is climate change? The title seems quite benign, a few hot summers? WRONG! Climate Change is shortage of food, failed crops, torrential rain, violent storms, hurricanes of immense strength, flash floods, icy winters, the list goes on. 

Well its something we don’t need to worry about at the moment, it’s for the next generation. WRONG! Climate Change is with us now and if it hasn’t affected you at the moment it soon will!

The most worrying thing about all of this is the public awareness is lacking as reporting on the media is poor or non-existent. Watch this talk by George Marshall why we deny Climate Change.

The difficulty of getting the message over perhaps lies in the wording Climate Change/Global Warming as it hides  the present danger (Risk for all Safety Engineers!) we are all in.

It requires as Sir Winston Churchill would often put on his correspondence when frustrated by bureaucracy ACTION THIS DAY! The hands of the clock are at midnight and time has run out for any debate only action matters!.
